Scope and content: The collection consists of graphic materials used for promotional purposes that were on display at the Hornby Island Gas Bar from the time period October 2012 to March 2019. The Gas Bar has acted as the main Hornby Island venue for purchasing tickets to musical events, theatrical productions, benefits and fundraisers as well as a place to promote community events, notice of AGM’s and to post public service announcements.
Source of supplied title: Title is based on the original repository of the collection.
Immediate source of acquisition: The collection was donated by the manager of the Hornby Island Gas Bar Alex Allen who maintained the collection until its donation to the Hornby Island Community Archives on April 16, 2018. An accrual to the collection was donated on April 10, 2019.
Arrangement: The original order of the materials has been retained in the archival arrangement.
