Scope and content: The collection consists of audiocassette tapes and optical discs (compact discs and DVDs) containing oral history interviews with various Hornby Island residents. Interview release and information forms accompany some of the interviews on compact disc.

Source of supplied title: Title is based on the contents of the collection.

Immediate source of acquisition: Original accession date(s) and donor(s) are unknown as Hornby Island Community Archives acquired the records several years prior to their being accessioned in 2016.

The interviews on compact disc were received from Margaret Sinclair who conducted the interviews for the Hornby Island Community Archives Oral History Project. The majority, if not all, of the interviews on audiocassette tape were conducted by David Gerow and Betty Smith for their book, “Hornby Island: The Ebb and Flow.” The interviews on DVD were conducted by Hornby Island school students.

Arrangement: In order to facilitate access the records are arranged by record format and then alphabetically by surname of interview subjects.
